La Fenice

The Spark, an umbrella project of La Fenice, was organized summer of 2024 to provide hands-on production, design and performance training for LGBTQIA / AFAB teens. These young artists have selected their first production together and are learning the ropes of budgeting, negotiating artist, venue and royalty agreements, and preproduction.

Throughout the rest of this year, they will have access to Conservatory-level theatre, mask and movement training as well as mentorship from award winning designers and producers.

All of this work will culminate in a production entirely selected, produced, designed and performed by teens in September of 2025.
